1. Take a photo of the pest/symptoms with your mobile

2. Drop a pin of the location of your observation using your mobile's phone map application.

3. Don't take samples or collect the pest

1. Once downloaded follow prompts to set up app. The app will work anywhere in Australia.

2. Open the MyPestGuide® Reporter app and tap the camera icons to take up to 4 photos of what you observe. Try to take photos in sharp focus that clearly show the symptoms or pest of concern. Photos will be geo-tagged to enable inspectors to return to the tree, if necessary.

5. Press submit. The app will send the report to appropriate State or Territory agency based on your report.

3. Select a relevant project (e.g. Tree Surveillance).

An expert will assist with your report.

4. Tell us what you found (i.e. Gum tree with curling leaves).
